Hello, I’m Claire and I am your Home-School Tutoring Area Advisor for North and East Hampshire and Surrey. We provide tutoring and educational services for all levels and subjects in the following regions:

I myself am passionate about education and have worked in the sector for twelve years. My experience is in A-Level and GCSE teaching of Business and IT. I have taught in Surrey Secondary schools and Sixth Form colleges so am delighted to have expanded into Surrey. I live in Hampshire between Petersfield and Alton, so I know both of my areas well. All my family are teachers, I would definitely say that teaching is in our blood. My MA (2018) was in Teaching and Learning, I love education and believe everyone is entitled to personalised differentiated learning. Tutoring offers a dynamic alternative provision for you or your child/ children, shaped around their learning styles, interests and needs.
Tutoring is a fantastic opportunity for the tutees and the tutors. Most teachers do not have time to work one-to-one with their students and therefore it is highly rewarding for both parties. It is my responsibility to match your tutoring needs with the right tutor/s.
In my spare time I am currently studying for a Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching. My desire to support others reach their potential is, I hope, evident in my approach for continuous improvement of myself. I enjoy sharing what I have learnt with others and helping them fulfil their potential.
We offer one-to-one tutoring sessions, group sessions, CPD for teachers who would like to upskill in particular areas and home tutoring. We have experienced tutors delivering all key stages/ year groups and adult education. Our tutoring programmes are designed based on individual needs and therefore you (the client) set the goal and time frame. Our tutors will plan and facilitate the sessions at a location that suits both parties, primarily this will happen at your home or could be in the local library.

Exam Centres : There are a number of exam centres throughout the country, however not all exam centres will accept private candidates or offer all of your requirements.
One exam centre used by some of our students this year is ‘Tutors and Exams’ and we are very proud to be partnered with them.
Our partnership establishes a close working relationship with the company and also offers you a discount on their published prices.
Tutors and Exams provides examination and assessment facilities primarily aimed at private and home educated candidates. The company was established six years ago by husband and wife, Jenny & Chris Spraggett, both of whom have a wealth of experience working in the examination/education sector. In those intervening six years Tutors and Exams has evolved into a much valued and respected examination venue.
Tutors and Exams currently have four examination centres located around the country: Bolton, Coventry, Wimbledon and Doncaster. They anticipate opening their fifth centre, located in Cambridgeshire, in readiness for the Summer 2021 exam series. All are approved for examination delivery by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).
In addition to their examination centres they also have a dedicated Science laboratory based in Birmingham with the ability to deliver A Level Science practicals all year round (consecutive four day course for each subject, or intensive two day course over weekend). They also have access to another Science laboratory located in a London school available to offer Science practicals outside of term time.
In 2019/20 Tutors and Exams delivered examination assessment to over 2,400 learners. They cater for 95% of all GCSE/GCE and IGCSE subjects alongside Functional Skills and have a dedicated SEN specialist who can assist in organising access arrangements if required.
We work in partnership with many large, respected distance learning providers such as 'Tutors and Exams' and we very much value the relationship we have with them to deliver high quality assessment to their candidates.
