We provide effective, supportive, bespoke tuition either face-to-face or online.

Our fully vetted, qualified and experienced teaching professionals are on hand to assist with your, or your child’s, learning. We provide effective tuition for all subjects, abilities and ages, from Early Years Foundation Stage up to Degree level qualifications. We can also help with Entrance Examinations (9+, 11+ and 13+) and Home Schooling.  We create individually tailored lessons and our goal is that our tuition sessions are engaging, encouraging and enjoyable in order to accelerate progress. We can do assessments alongside tuition as well as provide progress reports and self-study resources.

    Hello, I’m Carolyn and I head up the team of tutors in Home-School Tutoring West Berkshire area.

    Either myself or my assistant Jane Smith, will be your first point of contact if you're considering tutoring for any subject or level in this region.

    It is always a great pleasure to identify the best tutor to meet the specific learning needs of each individual pupil. If you are a parent, needing help for your son or daughter, please contact us to chat through the support your child needs so that we can match you with the right tutor.

    If you are an older student at college or university or an adult of any age considering taking some tutoring lessons, then we will be very pleased to help you too. 

    At Home-School Tutoring we believe strongly in personal tuition and the power of positive encouragement on a one-to-one basis. We have a passion for a personal education that builds confidence and progress in learning.

    We aim to offer tutoring in as many subjects and levels as possible with experienced, supportive tutors.   For all ages and levels.  Most  subjects can be offered in each area at all key stages, including for: primary level, entrance exams, SATs, the Common Entrance, GCSE, A level and pre-university or undergraduate level.

    The subjects and levels we tutor include:

    • Maths: all mathematics and numeracy levels from basic through to advanced
    • English: literacy, English studies, including grammar and literature
    • English learning as a foreign language ( EFL)
    • Science including Biology, Chemistry and Physics
    • Geography, History
    • Please ask which language you are needing help with or would like to learn.  We offer many good language teachers for various exam levels, including GCSE’s and A levels and who are also fluent speakers for advanced learning.
    • Help for those who have special needs.  We have patient and caring tutors who are practiced in understanding that every child has their own learning style and learns at their own pace.

    We would love to recommend our tutors to you.  Our aim is to boost confidence and progress.

    A scholarship offered  

    Our chosen Berkshire Independent School entrance exams seem to have gone well on Wednesday, no results yet but Annie said Maths was her favourite!  She has now been offered a scholarship.
